My favorite animal

Hello guys, today I will write about my favorite animal: the giraffe. His name is of Arabic origin and means "high". To begin I must mention that it is a mammal which is characterized by its enormous height, which ranges from 4 to 6 meters approximately and its weight varies between 750 and 1600 kilograms. This beautiful animal lives on the African continent and can be found in the in the savanna, grasslands or open forests.

The giraffe is a herbivorous animal that feeds mainly on the highest leaves of Acacia, which other herbivores can’t reach.  The sad part of his life is that adult giraffes are preyed on by lions, and new giraffes are also born by leopards, spotted hyenas and wild dogs.

I like this animal a lot because it is very easy to identify by its characteristics, it also gives me the impression of elegance by long neck and its brown and beige colors, next to this I feel that it is a very noble animal which does not cause damage to the other species. Another reason why I chose him as my favorite animal is: generate awareness Why?  Because the giraffe is in danger of extinction due to loss of habitat and illegal hunting.
